Twitch Addons Not Working
I tried to update 'Can I Mog It?' Today and it kept giving me some kind of error so I decided to remove and reinstall the app entirely. And wouldn't you know it, now it's saying I have '0 addons installed' despite that not being the case. My addons are still in my Interface/AddOns folder, completely intact and in working order. But for some reason they are not showing up on my Twitch Desktop App. I also just noticed that if I go into 'Get More Addons' within the app, it will only show me these three for some reason: If I try to search for anything specific, it will say that 'nothing matched my criteria'.
I really hope this doesn't mean that my addons are screwed over for all eternity because I have about 50 of them and I need all of them to play this game. I've spent so long setting everything up.

Similar problem. Since 6.2 I haven't been able to use any of my addons. There's no button on the character selection page, nothing in the menus, I even tried bringing it up with /npcscan (usually brings up the menu for me to access it, then the other addon menu is linked there) but nothing works. I waited to see if it was because of a delay in the update process of the addons but the information on the page says they're up to date so I can't figure it out. It's like the option for addons is completely gone in-game.
Nishunel, Did you follow the advice given earlier in this thread? Expanding on that a little, typically, when you download an addon, it comes to you as a.zip file. When you extract that file, it creates a folder with the addon name. Inside that folder is another folder with the actual addon files. That's the folder that has to be moved into the InterfaceAddons folder. If you move the first folder, it's not going to be recognized as it's not in the right format at that point. Aye, I typically try everything before going public with distress. I have deleted the old addon folders and reinstalled the addons as I did normally before 6.2. (Download the zips from Curse's website, unzip and install in C Users Public Games World of Warcraft Interface Addons. I have moved the items from the addon folders for NPCScan and NoDuel (since they are smaller) into the addon folder itself (for noduel it would be localization.lua, NoDuel.lua, NoDuel.toc, NoDuel (no extention) from C Users Public Games World of Warcraft Interface Addons NoDuel to C Users Public Games World of Warcraft Interface Addons) It has done nothing different in game. (As a matter of fact, first time I tried, Warcraft crashed.) I still have no 'Addon' button in screen (it used to be above Shop on the character selection screen, it is no longer there), and when I log in, the NoDuel icon still isn't there, and /npcscan (which used to bring up NPCscan, and thus the addon submenu) doesn't bring anything up other than the 'type /help' notice.
Some technical stuff, I have Windows 7, use NoDuel (hasn't updated since June), NPCScan (updated), Deadly Boss Mods (updated), and Recount (updated). I download the.zips from Curse, but don't use a client, if that helps any. Just lost all addon use in game.
Not sure if any of that helps. Is there something wrong with where I'm downloading it? Edit: Also, thanks for the quick reply! I appreciate that, but I still need help.
05:51 PMPosted by Download the zips from Curse's website, unzip and install in C Users Public Games World of Warcraft Interface Addons. Check the folder you extracted. In all likelihood, it's going to have another folder inside with the actual addon files.
That's the folder that has to be in the InterfaceAddons folder, not the first one you initially extract from the.zip file downloaded. I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 3:00 pm Pacific Time, Feedback?
Ff14 download client. Another thing that sometimes surprises players is that they find out that for some reason they actually have multiple installed copies of the game. So just to be sure, use the Launcher to determine exactly where the game you are executing is when you press play: 1) Start the Launcher 2) Ensure that you are showing the WoW game as being selected on the left side.
Thus the PLAY button will be pointing to WoW. 3) Ensure that the Region/Account is showing the WoD game, not ptr or beta. 4) On the OPTIONS menu above the blizzard adverts/messages, click it and choose SHOW IN EXPLORER. This will launcher windows explorer and point to where on your computer the game folder is located.
Again, this will probably be correct but should be checked to ensure you are unzipping things to the right location. It's just that we've had player discover that they had more than 1 copy of the game and were actually unzipping to the right wow folder location but to the wrong wow game install! 09:29 AMPosted by Another thing that sometimes surprises players is that they find out that for some reason they actually have multiple installed copies of the game. Oh mon dieu, thank you Lockless, this is exactly what my problem was. I was using CUsersPublicGamesWorld of Warcraft, but when I opened it through the explorer, it took me to CProgram Files (x86) World of Warcraft. I moved NPCscan over to that folder to see if that was it, and indeed, I have had the return of the AddOn button on the character select screen.
Thank you so much Lockless, you are a LIFESAVER. The question then is, should I delete the copy that's in the UsersPublicGames since it's not the Warcraft being used? Thank you, Omrakos, for trying to help, turns out I had two copies of Warcraft and wasn't putting it in the right one. ^^; (Seriously Lockless, I can't thank you enough.). Sounds like somehow the addons location isn't right or being seen. Could be a permissions issue though why it would have changed from before I have no idea. How did you do the install of the most recent version of that one addon?
Both Omrakes and my posts are usually 99% of the problems that have caused this kind of issue. Just make sure that you installed the game and the addons with admin rights too. In some cases mismatched rights would cause a problem. Follow the steps in my post to ensure you are looking at the right folder. Just because you see addons where you are checking doesn't mean it's the actual game folder.
This patch was created 5.October.2015- approximately 2+ weeks. Since that time, all other forum posted problems regarding addons have been resolved by finding one of the above mentioned problems. Typically either double unzipping, or administrator access rights differences, or AV/Firewall blocks. To date, 100% of those posting problems have resolved them correcting one of those issues.
You would be the first, making it highly unlikely. Also your problem would have started happening approximately 2 weeks ago. You need to cross check everything again.
After checking again, if you feel that everything is correct on your system the only thing you can try is a full game and UI reset: 1) Ensure your launcher and game are not running. Ensure Curse Client is not running.
Twitch Addons Not Working On Kodi
2) Delete the CACHE folder inside the main WoW folder. 3) Perform the full UI reset steps, which will backup your addons/config settings: - Your addons and game config info will be backed up when you take those steps. You can always restore later, after doing all the testing without addons and with default settings. 4) Run a scan and repair on the game: 5) Test the game. DO NOT RESTORE ADDONS. DO NOT START CURSE CLIENT- it might reinstall addons automatically.
Once you've confirmed that the game is still running, add back 1 addon using Curse Client. Repeat with another addon etc etc. Do not just copy them back- do a completely fresh install after a full reset will ensure that there can be no left over issues.
